Cynthia Bretheim, MS, NCTMB, LMT
Practitioner Information
Health is my passion through studies, retreats, research and experience–cranial nerves, mind-body practices and Chinese Medicine.
I am a committed personal-evolution geek, absolutely voracious about ways to help health since I was a kid. That determination helped me overcome rheumatoid arthritis, obesity and iron-loading anemia that runs in the family. I want you to have ways and moves that increase your ease in living, whether breathing more freely or getting out of bed feeling relaxed, delighted and refreshed.
DIYWellbeing began as Cynthia Bretheim Massage Therapy & Holistic Health circa 1986. Nationally certified for +36 years through 2024. MS degree in Applied Health Science, BA in Physiology of Psychology from Indiana University. Continuing studies with Tom Cowan's New Biology Curriculum, Gil Hedley's Institute for Anatomical Research, HumanGarage.net, cranial nerve studies with Lois Laynee, craniosacral practice, breathwork with Stephen Elliott, Resonant Attention, Oxygen Advantage, T’ai Chi Ch’uan with Master Laura Stone, Eden Energy Medicine, 4-year resident/staff Himalayan International Institute of Yoga Science & Philosophy.
I continue to love to learn and integrate new ways to help you while growing myself.
Specialty/Focus:
If you have pain, health concerns, or if you have fears about genetic health issues, but feel overwhelmed by information online; checkout DIYwellbeing.com. There are non-drug practices and techniques to give you power to shift your concerns and health status. I've overcome a number of issues myself, and I continue to study, research, and help clients do the same.
The body has reasons for its processes. Let's find out what the body is trying to correct and help remove the cause. If you want to stop the body's processes, go to your trusted conventional or functional resources. I am not a doctor or therapist.
I offer practices and points of view with: mechanics (posture, tension/flexibility, electrical), chemistry (hydration, nutrition, waste, sunlight, earthing), spirituality (hearing inner knowing, awareness), or emotional (shift trauma, drama, old patterns).
If you have concerns about flu, blood pressure, asthma, COPD, pneumonia, inflammation, anxiety, digestion; help your body with your breathing pattern. Move Your Lungs Workshop happens several times a year.
There are many helps and you will find the right way for your unique conditions and concerns. Feel free to call for a quick chat to know whether my practice is right for you.
In person or zoom, one-on-one or group process. By appointment only.
